Can I tell you something?

I don’t know anything about art, but I know what I like. That classic aperçu comes courtesy of Orson Welles and it at once succinctly and summarily describes how most humans feel about most everything. Especially art, whether it be painting, sculpting, writing, dancing, cooking, cracking jokes, or making music, movies, wars, and deals.

Having no experience with or knowledge of, or even the slightest clue how something is created or performed, does not preclude us from enjoying it. It should, however, preclude us from reviewing it on Yelp, but that’s another essay.
