Can I tell you something?
Homer Simpson – a consensus top-ten greatest philosopher of all time – once famously said that alcohol is the cause of and solution to all of life’s problems. I agree with that up to a point, especially the solution part, but in my humble opinion the Internet is actually the cause of modern life’s problems, and other than credibly replacing the expensive and cumbersome Encyclopedia Britannica as a reference, doing a faster job of transferring legal documents, allowing grandparents easy access to adorable photos of their progeny, and providing an incredibly rich source of pet videos and porn, it solves nothing.
